this is an awesome "middle of nowhere in the mountains" ride. it was overcast all day and looked like it was definitely raining nearby.. luckily between the two of us we felt only one drop all day. we rode up through nicasio (mario world) to point reyes/petaluma rd (towards petaluma), stopped off at the cheese factory for a snack (odd wheel machine pic), then took hick's valley rd. to marshall/petaluma rd (saw two cars in 13 mi).. climbed up marshall wall and BAILED down to Marshall CA (on tomales bay). we got some fresh oysters and rode the highway one rollers back to point reyes station. here, we took point reyes/petaluma road east to platform bridge road down into samuel p. taylor park (redwoods) and onto the cross marin trail. then back to the city through "the hamlets" aka "northern cali route" or "village-land"
